Why are you supporting moblogging only through MMS, why not via GPRS too?

MMS and mail is "easier", we want to be user friendly. (I suppose you want too see a upload/edit interface optimized for mobilephones? )

We might develop something like that. But for the momoent most peolple are not aware of the fact that MMS'es can be sent to a e-mail adress.

The option with email is intended to be the cheapest solution, MMS'es to be quick and easy.

An interface optimized for for example Operas mobile browser is, so far, not going to be used a lot by our mobloggers.

We do have plans however, and if the demand for this is strong we might speed it up a bit.

If You specify a bit more I might be able to give a better answer.

You're mentioning of "Operas mobile browser" shows me that I have not explained enough. I am not talking about using a browser from the mobile to moblog through it. I am talking about using an application (a program) on the mobile that would directly send to your moblog. Sure this would be so easy (for the user, but sure not for the developer).

Aha, like... eehhmm... Shozu?

We want our users to be able to use the phone they have.

Not the phones we recommend + a download/install of software.

I guess it could be an option for those who are interested. But we prefer to develop serverside to leave the clientside as it is. A phone with a camera, with possibility to send mail and/or MMS.

It also makes new features, patches , fixes and whatever easier to launch, if all functionality is on the server.

Im happy you like fotochatter. The guys here already answered the question. We use email to bypass the SMS gateway. Basically all phones have email addresses and we are able to get that when users send us their photos. We will be taking fotochatter to the next level soon (with some surprises) so if you would like to see a feature let me know.

Nice to find out about Shozu. Would love to talk to you further about how you see the future of this type of service going. I think there is tons of room for multiple services dealing with various social structures as well as services for specific groups. Just saw the first social network for bodybuilders. So the verticals are starting to come on strong.
