Recent Moblog Launces
We have been very busy lately, launching moblogs for our client Sydsvenskan. I wrote a line about the carneval theme moblog we did last summer.
After that we followed up with some more moblogs, adding some new features such as albums and rating of pictures.
The theme for the different moblogs have shifted over time- Sydsvenskan is the major newspaper in southerns Sweden they wanted their readers pictures from current events.
So, we have built and launched moblogs for Summer, Soccer World Cup (we got some cool pictures from Germany), Ramadan and just finished the Christmas Moblog. I sure had no idea what to expect, but some of the moblogs where very popular and readers of Sydsvenskan seem to have getting the hang of it.
The ones where a reward for the best picture was offered, and where pictures got printed in the paper, recived more pictures than those moblogs that where not promoted. This makes marketing of moblogs something to remember - just launching a moblog is not good enough. The old "whats in it for me" question must be answered in order to get a moblog living.
Sydsvenskan are very pleased with their moblogs, since it gives them a good dialogue with their readers.
At the moment there is no moblog "live", but the old ones are wrapped up and can be seen here, at Sydsvenskans website.
