Nokia's Lifeblog
Nokia have some interesting stuff going on with their Lifeblog.
You Blog - but do You Moblog?
Don't just post from your PC - post on the go with Lifeblog!
So Lifeblog is a tool that can be used for moblogging? Funny, I havent seen SonyEricsson or any other Nokia Competitor work on similar projects. It should be interesting for those companies to develop handy blogtools as well. What else are we supposed to do with our phonecams and videolclips?
Very good, Nokia!
So for the bad part: I haven't tried Nikoia Lifeblog for the following reason: I have a MAC.
IF I had a PC with:
*Microsoft® Windows® 2000 (Service Pack 4 or later) or Windows XP (Service Pack 1 or later)" and so on, I still would have to have a :
*"Nokia PC Suite" and " USB port or Bluetooth wireless connection (to connect to phone)"
and whoops, there we are.
Too difficult for for anyones mom (anyones Mom always being the preferred example user for new programs and services).
My guess is that Nokia's not interested in having my mom as a customer for Lifeblog, (well, not yet).
But still.. there are easier moblogs for free on the web, that doesnt demand you have a NOKIA phone, USB or anything. They doesn't even demand you have a computer!
To wrap this up I still must say that I am very positive about the Lifeblog. It will give pressure on other mobile phone manufacturers to come up with similar sollutions - and to existing moblog and photosharing publishers (such as mobilblogg.net)to come up with new and better features.
UPDATE: Thx to a comment from Hugo I now know You can use Lifeblog as a moblog - no sys req's.
"To moblog with Lifeblog (i.e. blog from the phone), you don't need any USB cables or any Bluetooth installed, or even a PC. Just pop your blog settings in and blog away.
You need to connect to the PC if you want to synch your data to the PC Lifeblog application "

You need to connect to the PC if you want to synch your data to the PC Lifeblog application (I agree it's a shame there's no Mac version), and you can also blog from the PC, but you don't need it to moblog at all.
